Dwayne Cote

I am a violinist from the Cape Breton Island , Nova Scotia, Canada. My father was the Fiddler and Piper Gordon Côté, and my Mother the step dancer Gladis  Côté. I grew up in the Celtic music tradition and started playing professionally and touring at the age of 13.

I was trained at home from the age of 3 years old and at the Royal conservatory of Toronto in the late 1980's, where I could perfect my skills and knowledge of classical music. Nowadays I play, compose and teach mostly in the traditional Scottish Style Celtic music, as well as in Jazz and classical styles.
